Frank Lee Community Work Center
The Frank Lee Community-Based Facility/Community Work Center is a minimum-security work release facility located in Deatsville, Alabama. This facility opened in 1964 as a camp for first-time offenders. The facility resembles a school instead of a prison and can house a maximum of 221 male inmates.
The inmates housed at Frank Lee are nearing the end of their sentence and are making the transition back to the community. They are classified as either "Minimum-Out" or "Minimum-Community."
Inmates classified as Minimum-Out are generally assigned to Community Work Centers but can be assigned to off-property work details without the direct supervision of correctional officers.
Minimum-Community inmates are allowed to be employed outside of the work center on a full-time basis and are supervised at the Frank Lee Community-Based Facility/Community Work Center when they're not working.
