Mobile Community Work Center
The Mobile Community-Based Facility/Community Work Center is a minimum-security facility that houses and provides employment for 120 male inmates who are at the end of their sentence. Their placement at the work center is intended to help with the inmate's transition back to the community.
The majority of the facility’s inmates are Minimum-Community custody and hold positions for private sector employers throughout Mobile and Baldwin counties. Mobile inmates are classified as either "Minimum-Out" or "Minimum-Community."
Minimum-Out inmates are usually assigned to Community Work Centers but can be assigned to off-property work details without the direct supervision of correctional officers.
Minimum-Community inmates are allowed to have full-time jobs outside of the work center. They are supervised at the Mobile Community-Based Facility/Community Work Center when they're not working
