Paulding Probation Detention Center
The Paulding Probation Detention Center is a minimum-security, short-term facility for adult male probationers that is located in Dallas, Georgia. The maximum capacity of this detention center is 260, and the host facility is Hays State Prison.
The Paulding Probation Detention Center houses probationers for up to 180 days, but most stay for a period of 60 to 120 days. This is a confinement option for those who require more supervision and security than what is provided with regular community supervision.
The mission of the Paulding Probation Detention Center is to provide a highly-structured, work-oriented environment with regiment schedules and unpaid community service opportunities to help the inmates successfully complete their probation.
This facility is a sentencing alternative for the courts. Inmates can be directly sentenced to Paulding, or they can be placed there via probation revocation.
The housing at Paulding consists of four separate dorms, each with 63 beds. The administrative segregation unit houses eight beds.
