Turner Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Center

The Turner Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Center is a medium-security, short-term rehabilitation center for adult male inmates who are in the custody of the Georgia Department of Correction. It is located in Sycamore, Georgia and can house a maximum of 232 residents. Wilcox State Prison is the host facility.

Turner features a six-month therapeutic substance abuse treatment program for high risk, high need offenders with a history of substance abuse. In partnership with Spectrum Health Systems, Turner provides a highly structured environment for state probationers with chronic substance abuse, dependence issues, and chronic recidivistic tendencies.

The goal is for program graduates to return to their community as law-abiding, pro-social citizens who are self-supporting. Housing at Turner is four open dorms with double and triple bunks.

Turner Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Center visiting hours are on Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Who Can Visit?

Members of an inmate's immediate family (parents, brothers, sisters, spouse, grandparents, grandchildren, and children) are eligible for visitation approval. If you are not an immediate family member, you still may be allowed to visit as a significant relationship visitor. However, the inmate must initiate the request.

The inmate must put you on their visiting list first and the Georgia Department of Corrections must approve your application before you can visit. Visitor applications are available by clicking here
