Nampa Community Reentry Center

The Nampa Community Re-Entry Center is a minimum-security facility for adult male inmates who are nearing the end of their sentence with the Idaho Department of Corrections. This facility can house a maximum of 112 residents who are preparing for release. It is located in Nampa, Idaho.

Residents at Nampa Community Re-entry Center are allowed to work while reuniting with families and the community. The staff includes a manager, correctional officers, psychosocial rehabilitation specialists, programming staff, and administrative support staff.

NCRC has a set visiting schedule and check-in times. Visitors who are not on time will be turned away. If you have any questions about visiting, please contact the facility directly.

General Visiting Rules

All visitors must complete the Visiting Application Adult or Visiting Application Minor Child (if applicable) before visiting a resident at the Nampa Community Re-Entry Center. 

It is a crime in the state of Idaho to knowingly introduce or possess contraband in the Nampa Community Re-entry Center. Contraband includes tobacco, cell phone(s) or telecommunication equipment, controlled/illegal substances, firearms or dangerous weapons, ammunition/explosives, and escape tools or devices. 

If you are caught trying to bring contraband into the Nampa Community Re-Entry Center, you will be arrested and charged. This crime is punishable by five years in prison and/or fine of up to $10,000.

A visitor suspected of being under the influence of intoxicating beverages or drugs will be denied visitation. In addition, visitation privileges may be revoked temporarily or permanently. 

Visitors over the age of 16 must have valid and current photo identification (a driver’s license, state-issued ID, military ID, or valid/current United States passport). Visitors between the age of 16 and 18 years can also use student ID cards issued by their schools. 

Allowed Items

Items allowed in the visiting room include: Photo identification, money for vending machines, vehicle keys, and if small children are visiting, a diaper bag. The diaper bag may contain diapers; wipes; a pacifier; two bottles of formula, milk, water, or juice; and a container of baby food or cereal.

No cell phones, beepers, laptop/palm computers, cameras, or other electronic equipment is allowed in the visiting room.

Residents may not give or receive any item from a visitor, and visitors may not give or receive any item from a resident. 

Dress Code

Visitors must wear garments that are conservative and modest. Proper underclothing must be worn. All visitors, including children, must wear shoes -- no bare feet. 

Clothing Not Allowed: sleeveless garments, bare midriffs, scrubs, shorts, cutoffs, miniskirts, hats, caps, bandanas, doo-rags, spandex, and low-cut or see-through clothing. Multi-layered clothing that could be used to conceal contraband, such as coats and sweatshirts, are also not allowed.

The residents at Nampa Community Re-entry Center may receive letters (no packages) and photos (no Polaroids or nudity) from family and friends. Personal letters will be opened by staff and searched for contraband.
