Visiting Hours and Rules
As of August 2021, visiting hours at the Pike County Community Work Center have been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please contact Pike County CWC directly to find out up-to-date info about visits.
General Visiting Rules
When an inmate is admitted into the Pike County Community Work Center, they are given the visiting rules and regulations. That same information is made available to visitors upon request. However, it is the responsibility of each inmate to provide their intended visitors with the visitation rules and regulations.
Visitors are not allowed to enter the visiting room without photo identification. They must also clear a metal detector, get scanned by the scanner, and be searched by staff before leaving.
Visitors are allowed to bring up to $20.00 in cash and coins to purchase items from the vending machines. You must leave all cell phones, wallets, purses, handbags, change purses, excessive clothing, etc., locked in your vehicle.
Visitors with infants may bring one diaper bag with up to four diapers, two bottles, one change of baby clothes, one pacifier, diaper wipes in a zip lock bag, and any necessary medication for the infant.
Dress Code
DRESS CODE FOR FEMALE VISITORS:
- Shorts at knee level or below
- No hip huggers, cut-offs, jogging shorts, or biking shorts
- Skirts and dresses shall not be above the knee
- Slits must not extend above the knee when seated
- No see through clothing is allowed
- No tank tops or bare midriffs or sleeveless tops
- Shoes must be worn (no house or shower shoes)
- Underwear and bra must be worn
- Hats, caps, and bandanas are not allowed
- No jewelry except wedding ring, religious medallion, and a medical alert bracelet
DRESS CODE FOR MALE VISITORS:
- Shirts must be worn at all times
- No tank tops or bare midriffs or sleeveless tops
- Shorts may not be above the knee
- No cut-off shorts, jogging shorts, or biking shorts
- Shoes must be worn at all times (no house or shower shoes)
- Under wear must be worn
- No pants pulled below the hip line
- No hats or head covering of any kind
- Hats, caps, and bandanas are not permitted
- No jewelry except wedding ring, religious medallion, and a medical alert bracelet

Pike County Community Work Center residents may send and receive mail, but there are a few rules. The following items are prohibited in inmate mail:
- Polaroid photos
- Nude or explicitly sexual photos
- Metal, glass, hard plastics, or wooden items
- Money orders, receipts of money orders, or copies of money orders
- Packages
- Cassette/Video tapes/CD's
- Hardback Books
- Food items/hygiene/medical items
- Writing material, including stamps, must be purchased from Canteen
- Sexually explicit material is subject to rejection
How to Call an Inmate

How to Send Money
To send money to a resident at the Pike County Community Work Center, you must use the Premiere Services payment portal or Western Union.
Premiere Services offers a fast and secure way to deposit money into an inmate’s account online by using a credit or debit card. You will need to know the inmate's name and ID number, and you must make sure they are housed at the Pike County Community Work Center.
To send money in-person, visit any Western Union location and fill out a blue form. You will need your inmate's full name and ID number.
