Visiting Hours and Rules
Each inmate is allowed one or two visits each week, ranging from 15 minutes to one hour in length. Inmates with special privileges are allowed additional visits.
Please call the Cleburne County Jail for visiting information. Anyone over the age of 18, who isn't on felony probation and can produce a valid, government-issued photo ID, can be approved to visit an inmate in the Cleburne County Jail. Call 256-463-7336 to ask specific questions about the visitation policy.
In-person visits are conducted behind plexi-glass or on a televised screen from another location. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and guardians must provide proof of their guardianship. Children must be monitored at all times or jail staff will end the visit early.
Leave all personal belongings, except for your photo ID in your vehicle.
Dress Code
The Cleburne County Jail staff will turn visitors who are not dressed appropriately. You must dress conservatively when visiting an inmate.
- Don't wear revealing clothing
- Don't wear see-through material.
- Undergarments are required, females must avoid a lot of cleavage.
- Shorts and skirts should reach mid-thigh.
- Sleeves should be at least half-way to your elbow.
- Do not wear clothing promoting gang affiliation.
- Do not wear clothing that displays drugs, weapons, or profanity.
- Do not wear clothing depicting anything obscene.

All inmate mail must be properly addressed. The inmate's name and address are REQUIRED on all mail, or it will be returned to the sender. A valid return address is required on all incoming mail, if no return address is provided the incoming mail will be destroyed. ALL incoming and outgoing inmate mail is subject to search.
