Greenlee County Jail
The Greenlee County Jail is located in Clifton, Arizona and is operated by the Greenlee County Sheriff's Office. This facility houses adult male and female inmates who have been arrested by local county or city law enforcement, and it is the primary detention center for all law enforcement agencies in Greenlee County.
Inmates are incarcerated at the Greenlee County Jail for crimes ranging from violations to misdemeanors to felonies. The Greenlee County Jail also houses those who have been charged with a crime and are awaiting trial.
The Greenlee County Jail houses state inmates awaiting transfer to the Arizona Department of Corrections. The jail also contracts with other county and tribal jurisdictions to house their inmates on an as needed basis.

Visiting Hours and Rules
Visitation hours at the Greenlee County Jail are every day, including holidays and weekends, as follows: 8:30 am-11:00 am, 12:30 pm-3:00 pm, 4:30 pm-09:00 pm.
The Greenlee County Jail has contracted with HomeWAV to install video visitation monitors for inmate use. From this monitor, the inmates are able to place and receive phone calls, receive video visits, order commissary items, file institutional paperwork, and more.
Family and friends can schedule visitation appointments to take place in the lobby, at home on their computer, or through a smart phone app.
Inmates may have one free on-site visit per week and unlimited off-site visits. All visits are 30 minutes in length. Information to create a HomeWAV account can be found on their website or in the jail lobby.

All incoming inmate mail must have the inmate’s name and address on it. To ensure safety and security of the jail, all incoming mail is opened and inspected for contraband. There is no expectation of privacy from incoming mail except privileged mail.
How to Call an Inmate
Inmates at the Greenlee County Jail have access to phones in their housing units (after their initial appearance, within 24 hours of their arrest) and can make outgoing collect calls.

The Greenlee County Jail has contracted with Summit Food Services to provide commissary services. Family and friends can deposit money to inmate’s accounts through a cash or credit/debit machine in the front lobby of the detention facility.
Money can also be deposited into an inmate's account by going to Jailatm.com. These services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The jail does not accept money orders, cashier’s checks, etc… over the counter, or through the mail.
Fees:
Cash- $3.25 fee for cash
Credit/Debit- $3.25/10% whichever is greater
Jailatm.com- 10% flat fee
