Mohave County Jail

The Mohave County Jail is located in Kingman, Arizona and is operated by the Mohave County Sheriff's Office. This facility houses adult male and female inmates who have been arrested by local county or city law enforcement.

Inmates are incarcerated at the Mohave County Jail for crimes ranging from violations to misdemeanors to felonies. The facilities also house those who have been charged with a crime and are awaiting trial, as well as state inmates awaiting transfer to the Arizona Department of Corrections.

If you need to drop off glasses for your inmate, they are accepted between 8:00 am and 4:45 pm, Monday through Friday.

Visiting Hours and Rules

Visiting hours for the GENERAL POPULATION at Mohave County Jail are on Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 am – 11:00 am or 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Inmates in disciplinary, medical, or holding are not allowed visits.

APPROPRIATE AND DECENT ATTIRE IS REQUIRED TO VISIT AN INMATE AT THE MOHAVE COUNTY JAIL. THOSE NOT DRESSED APPROPRIATELY WILL NOT BE GRANTED VISITATION.

All visitors must have a valid, government-issued photo ID to sign up for visitation. Visitors must be 18 or older to visit. Visitors aged 10-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 

All visitors are subject to search and a pass through the metal detector before they enter the visiting area. No food, drinks, cameras, cell phones, purses, bags, fanny packs, or containers of any kind are allowed. 

You must store all of your personal items in your vehicle, or you can use a locker that is provided in the lobby.

Only one visitor is allowed at each visiting booth at one time. Once you leave the visiting area, your visit is terminated. 

All visits are monitored and recorded. Any attempt to vandalize the area will result in the termination of the visit and possible criminal prosecution.

If you are on probation or parole, you will not be allowed to visit an inmate at the Mohave County Jail.

You can't call an inmate who is housed at any of the Mohave County Jail locations, but they do have access to phones in their housing units (after their initial appearance, within 24 hours of their arrest) and can make outgoing collect calls.
