Delta County Jail

The Delta County Jail (aka the Delta County Detention Facility) is located in Delta, Colorado. This facility is operated by the Delta County Sheriff's Department and houses adult men and women who have been arrested by local law enforcement.

The Delta Detention Facility has the ability to hold 73 male and female detainees. The Work Release Facility can hold a maximum of 25 male sentenced work release detainees. 

The average daily population is approximately 49 inmates at the jail and 12 inmates at the Work Release Facility. The average length of stay for an individual in 2015 was approximately eight days.

Visitors can schedule video visits with an inmate at the Delta County Jail through Securus Video Connect.

How to Use Securus Video Connect to Visit

Securus Video Connect is a fully web-based visual communication system that allows friends, family members, attorneys, and public officials to schedule and participate in video sessions with an incarcerated individual.

You can visit with your inmate via Secure Video Connect from anywhere with internet access using the free Securus app, computer, or tablet.

You must enroll with Securus and create an account before signing up for remote access. Once you are signed up, you can schedule your visit using the visiting schedule available on the Securus app.

All incoming mail at the Delta County Jail is scanned and given to inmates electronically. When writing letters, make sure that you only write on one side of the paper for purposes of scanning items. Officers scan all photos that are mailed in. DO NOT SEND any INAPPROPRIATE photos.

How to Call an Inmate

Inmates at the Delta County Jail cannot receive incoming phone calls, however, they have access to phones and can make outgoing calls from the inmate housing area. Phone calls are recorded and may be monitored at any time.

How to Send Money

Inmates at the Delta County Jail may receive money from friends and family that can be used to pay their copay for medical treatment, booking and bonding fees, and commissary items.

Programs For Inmates

Bible studies, Alcoholics Anonymous, and Mental Health groups are held regularly as part of the self-help courses offered at the Delta County Jail. 

Work Release

The Work Release Facility at the Delta County Jail was opened in 2004. This program allows sentenced inmates – who have been determined not to be a threat to the community – the opportunity to leave the jail for work. Inmates pay $20 a day for this privilege.
