Visiting Hours and Rules
Inmates at the Montgomery Correctional Center are allowed video visitation with persons of their choice. The inmate initiates all visits by calling their visitors who have signed up for an account at www.gettingout.com.
When you create an account, you will be required to upload a government-issued photo ID for verification. Once you are approved, you will be eligible for visits.
This is the same site the jail uses for the inmate tablet messaging, so once an account is created at www.gettingout.com both messaging and video visitation is enabled.
Dress code
During video visitation at the Montgomery Correctional Center, visitors must be appropriately dressed. Unacceptable clothing includes, but is not limited to:
- Transparent clothing
- Tight clothing without proper undergarments
- Costumes, or clothing that disguises the identity
- Clothing that reveals the buttocks, breasts, back or stomach as determined by staff
- Absolutely no nudity is allowed.
Visiting Rules
Visitors are not allowed to record, live stream, or rebroadcast their visit on any platform. If it is discovered that a violation of these conditions has occurred, the visit will be terminated. The inmate and visitor may be subject to a suspension, of up to one year, from participating in video visitation.
Reasons that would cause a video visit to be immediately terminated -- plus a four-day temporary suspension of visitation and possible disciplinary action -- include, but are not limited to:
- Not being fully dressed
- Using a towel, sheet, or blanket to conceal the tablet
- Face not visible on camera
- More than one inmate in a single visit
- Allowing other inmates to use their account to communicate
- Knowingly using another inmates account to communicate
- Nudity
- Actively coercing the visitor to violate any of the rules
If your visit stops unexpectedly, it's probably because some involved in the visit violated the rules. This is the only warning. If you have questions concerning video visitation, call 904.630.8800.
