Orange County Phoenix Facility

The Orange County Phoenix Facility is located in Orlando, Florida. This jail is operated by the Orange County Corrections Department and houses adult males who have been arrested by local county or municipal law enforcement and sentenced by the courts. This facility can house a maximum of 288 inmates.

All of the inmates being released from the Orange County Jail System exit via the public lobby of the Booking & Release Center (BRC) regardless of where they were housed in the Corrections Complex.

Florida VINE

The Florida VINE system is a service through which victims of crime can search for information regarding the custody status of their offender, and to register to receive phone calls and e-mail notifications when the offender’s custody status changes.

Visiting Hours and Rules

All inmates at the Orange County Phoenix Facility are allowed three visits per week that take place by video from the Video Visitation Center. This eliminates the process of visitors waiting in line and being searched. 

The Video Visitation Center is open every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. with the last visitation session starting at 9 p.m. The Video Visitation Center is located at:

Visitors MUST call (407) 836-8061 to schedule the first appointment at least ONE DAY in advance. Phone lines are open for scheduling from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm. Each visitor is issued a unique visitor ID number, which they must provide when scheduling visits. After you have registered, you can schedule future visits via the Internet at BestJail.com.

Please arrive at the visitation center at least 15 minutes early, and bring your valid driver's license, passport or state and/or military ID. Visitors arriving after the start of their scheduled session will not be allowed to visit. 

Scheduling Visits

The first time you access the scheduling website and enter your email address, you will need to click on "Forgot your password? Click here to reset it." 

Your password will be sent to you via the email address you provided. After you receive your password, you will be able to log on and schedule visits by following the prompts on the screen.

Visitation Rules

Visitation is by appointment only, and all visits are monitored and are subject to recording. Appointments may be scheduled up to one week in advance, but no less than one day in advance. 

Each inmate is allowed a maximum of three visitors per session (two adults, one child). Visitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or possess a valid marriage license.

All visitors must properly identify themselves upon arriving at the visitation center. (Visitors must have a government issued photo ID indicating their date of birth.) 

Visitors appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted into the center. 

Only wallets and car keys may be taken into the Visitation Center. No other personal effects such as purses, cell phones, backpacks, diaper bags, smoking materials, chewing gum, are allowed. Visitors with small children are permitted to bring one baby bottle, and one blanket per child. 

Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited inside the Visitation Center. Loud talking, excessive emotionalism, or any other type of disruptive behavior will not be permitted in the Visitation Center. 

When a visitor exits the Visitation Center, the visit is over and they will not be allowed to gain re-entry. 

Dress Code

Proper attire is required in the visitation center at all times. Shoes and shirts must be worn; suggestive clothing, see through fabrics, halter or tube type tops, short shorts and mini-skirts will not be permitted. Appropriate underclothing is required.  For more information click here.

Remote Video Visits

Beginning in July 2022, the Orange County Corrections Department will begin offering Remote Video Visitation. Remote Visitors will be able to visit virtually from computers and/or Android mobile devices. 

During the introductory period, each inmate is eligible to receive one remote visit free of charge per week, and each visit will last up to 15 minutes.

At the conclusion of the introductory period, additional information will be provided announcing the date for the implementation of fees, the cost, the duration of the visit, and the frequency of remote visitation sessions.

Before you can visit with an inmate remotely, you must:

• Download and install the required applications depending on your platform.
  • For PC, download and install the “VisBridge” application.
  • For Android devices, download and install both “VisMobile” apps:

  • GTL - Internet Visits (2 of 2)
• (Apple/IOA mobile devices are not currently supported)
• Remote visitors can check in via the app up to 15 minutes prior to their scheduled visit time.

All correspondence addressed to inmates must be sent by the United States Postal Service (USPS). When addressing mail to an Orange County inmate, please include their full name, booking number, and cell as shown in the Current Inmate Database. Be sure to include your return address.

Do not send checks or cash in the mail. Only money orders are accepted in inmate mail. On the money order, include the inmate's name and booking number.

Do not send stamps, envelopes, paper, pens, pencils, inappropriate pictures or photos (no Polaroids accepted; only five pictures per envelope, no larger than 5x7), plastic cards, phone cards, stickers, lipstick marks or any other visible unknown substances on envelopes or letters (i.e. perfume, droplets, white out, etc.), padded or bubble mailers or glued items. 

Books (paperback only - no hard covers), magazines, newspapers and religious materials must be mailed to the jail directly by the publisher or a bookstore. The parcel must contain an invoice with a company logo or a company packing slip with business name and contact information.

Publications cannot contain any nudity or sexually-oriented material.

How to Call an Inmate

Inmates at the Orange County Phoenix Facility cannot receive incoming phone calls, however, they have access to phones and can make outgoing calls from the inmate housing area daily. Phone calls are recorded and may be monitored at any time.

How to Send Money

Inmate's money accounts at the Phoenix Facility are used to buy items from the commissary and to pay for various medical services and jail fees. 

Deposit items must be payable to the inmate and include the inmate’s jail number. The sender’s name and address MUST be included on all items except Government checks.

Deposit items containing altered name/payee information, incorrect or missing information, or lacking depositor information will be returned.
