General Rules

All visitors must arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled visit time in order to be processed. Visitors must arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to be guaranteed a visit. Only three visitors are allowed in at one time. Visits are limited to one hour in length, and detainees may receive only one visit per day.

All visitors must have a U.S., State or Federal, issued identification document, or foreign passport with a valid U.S. visa to be admitted. Minors who are visiting must be accompanied by an adult guardian (18 years or older). 

All family or other social visits are contact visits. All visitors are subject to search while in the facility. Visitors are not allowed to pass or attempt to pass any items to detainees. No electronic devices (cell phones, pagers, radios, etc.) are permitted in the secure areas of this facility

All mail sent to detainees must include the last four digits of their A-number (File Number), plus the sender’s name and address. For safety reasons, all incoming mail is subject to screening for contraband. The mail is not read upon opening, only inspected by the delivering officer. 

A detainee may receive items for travel or release from agency custody with approval of the ICE Deportation Officer. Before sending packages to detainees, please contact the Case Deportation Officer at (760) 561-6100:

Detainees being removed from the United States are allowed one small piece of luggage, which can be sent after getting approval from the Supervisory Deportation Officer. For security reasons, no electronic devices (cell phones, electric razors, laptop computers, radios, etc.) are accepted.

How to Call an Inmate

Detainees at Adelanto ICE Processing Center cannot receive incoming calls. To leave an urgent message, you must call (760) 561-6100. Leave the detainee’s full name, alien registration number, your name, and a telephone number where you can be reached.

How to Send Money

You can send money to a detainee at Adelanto ICE Processing Center by mailing them a check or money order directly. The processing officer will provide a receipt for all money received. Do not send cash.

To Post a Delivery Bond

Delivery bonds are posted when a person has been taken into ICE custody and placed into removal proceedings while in the United States. When posting a delivery bond, you must show proof of identity.

Bonds for aliens detained by ICE may be posted at ICE ERO bond acceptance offices nationwide, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., local time. For a list of ICE ERO bond acceptance offices nearest you or for bond information, click here. You must have the last name of the detainee and their alien registration number before calling. 

Acceptable forms of payment are: money orders, cashier’s checks or certified checks. Payments must be made payable to “U.S. Department of Homeland Security” or “Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”
