Visiting Hours at Aurora Contract Detention Facility are assigned by housing units. Please contact the facility at 303-361-6612 prior to coming for a visit to determine the housing assignment for the person you wish to visit.
A Units (2) Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 7:00am to 1:00pm
B-1&B-2 Units Monday, Thursday, and Sunday 7:00am to 1:00pm
B-3&B-4 Units Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday 3:00pm to 9:00pm
D Unit (female) Monday, Wednesday 3:00pm to 6:00pm
Saturday 6:00pm to 10:00pm
SHU Wednesday 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Friday, Saturday 1:30pmm to 3:30pm
General Rules
Adult visitors must have a valid photo ID. Minors who are visiting the facility must be accompanied by an adult guardian (18 years or older).
Detainees are allowed one hour for visitation. More time may be authorized for family members traveling significant distances. All visits are non-contact.
A maximum of two adults and two children may visit at any one time. All visitors must arrive 45 minutes prior to the scheduled visit time for processing.
No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted in the facility. No electronic devices (cell phones, pagers, radios, etc.) are permitted. Visitors are not allowed to carry any items into the visitation area.
If visitors are or appear to be intoxicated, visitation will not be allowed. All visitors are subject to search. Including a pat-down search of their person, an inspection of their belongings, and a metal scan search.

All mail sent to detainees must include the last four digits of their A-number (File Number), plus the sender’s name and address. For safety reasons, all incoming mail is subject to screening for contraband. The mail is not read upon opening, only inspected by the delivering officer.

Detainees being removed from the United States are allowed one small piece of luggage. Luggage can be sent after getting approval from the Supervisory Deportation Officer. For security reasons, no electronic devices (cell phones, electric razors, laptop computers, radios, etc.) are accepted.
How to Call an Inmate
Detainees at Aurora Contract Detention Facility cannot receive incoming calls. To leave an urgent message, you must call (303) 361-6612 and leave the detainee’s full name, alien registration number, your name, and a telephone number where you can be reached.
How to Send Money
You can send money to a detainee at Aurora Contract Detention Facility by mailing them a check or money order directly. The processing officer will provide a receipt for all money received. Do not send cash.

To Post a Delivery Bond
Delivery bonds are posted when a person has been taken into ICE custody and placed into removal proceedings while in the United States. When posting a delivery bond, you must show proof of identity.
Bonds for aliens detained by ICE may be posted at ICE ERO bond acceptance offices nationwide, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., local time. Acceptable forms of payment are: money orders, cashier’s checks or certified checks. Payments must be made payable to “U.S. Department of Homeland Security” or “Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”
