Visiting Hours and Rules
Visiting hours at Pine Prairie ICE Processing Center are as follows:

General Rules
Weekday visitation is available Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. by submitting a request to the Warden. The facility makes every attempt to accommodate such visits, but they are subject to availability of the Visitation Room and the security requirements of the facility.
Detainees are allowed one hour for visitation. More time may be authorized by the Assistant Warden for family members traveling significant distances.
A maximum of two adults and two children may visit at any one time. This regulation will be interpreted flexibly and is subject to exceptions.
To allow adequate time to process visitors through security, all visitors must arrive 45 minutes prior to the scheduled visit time.
Adult visitors must present a valid, photo ID. Minors who are visiting the facility must be accompanied by an adult guardian (18 years or older).
All visits are Non-contact. If visitors are or appear to be intoxicated, visitation will not be allowed.
All visitors are subject to search. Visitors are not allowed to carry any items into the visitation area. No electronic devices (cell phones, pagers, radios, etc.) are permitted in the secure areas of this facility.

Attorneys and paralegals may visit detainees seven days a week from 8 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., including holidays.
Process for Requesting a Virtual Legal Visit at Pine Prairie ICE Processing Center
- Attorneys and accredited representatives may request virtual meetings with their clients 24 hours prior to the requested meeting time by email at [email protected]. Virtual meetings take place Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, from 8.a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Time.
- Visits will be scheduled for one hour and will automatically terminate.
Legal representatives are required to show appropriate identification, such as a bar card from any state. Additionally, attorneys must provide a government issued photo ID.
Consular Visits
Consular officials are allowed to meet with their detained nationals at any time. Whenever possible, prior arrangements should be made with the ICE Supervisory Deportation Officer. All consular officials should bring appropriate credentials.

All mail sent to detainees must include the last four digits of their Alien number, plus the sender’s name and address. Staff does not read the mail upon opening. For safety reasons, all incoming mail is subject to screening for contraband.

Detainees who are being removed from the United States are allowed one small piece of luggage. This can be sent after getting approval from the Supervisory Deportation Officer.
For security reasons, no electronic devices (cell phones, electric razors, laptop computers, radios, etc.) are accepted.
How to Call an Inmate
Detainees at Pine Prairie ICE Processing Center can't receive incoming calls. If you need to get in contact with a detainee, you must call (337) 599-2198 and leave a message.

If detainees receive money in the mail, it is taken to the processing area and placed into their account. The processing officer will provide a receipt for all funds received. Detainees should not have cash sent to them in the mail.
To Post a Delivery Bond
Delivery bonds are posted when a person has been taken into ICE custody and placed into removal proceedings while in the United States. When posting a delivery bond, you must show proof of identity.
Bonds for aliens detained by ICE may be posted at ICE ERO bond acceptance offices nationwide, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., local time. Acceptable forms of payment are: money orders, cashier’s checks, or certified checks. Payments must be made payable to “U.S. Department of Homeland Security” or “Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”
