Visiting Hours and Rules
Visiting hours at Cass County Jail Services are as follows:
Female Detainees

General Rules
Before any inmate is allowed visitation, they are required to submit a list of authorized visitors to the front office. This list must be on file by 8:00 a.m. on the day of the visit to be valid.
The only children allowed to visit are the detainee's children. Birth certificates are requiredand mother’s and father’s names must appear on the birth certificate. Step-children are not allowed to visit. Siblings under 18 may visit with a parent; however they are also required to have a birth certificate.
Visits are filled on a first come, first served basis. You must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your visit for processing. All visits last one hour.
Adult visitors must present a valid, verifiable government-issued identification card to enter Cass County Jail. Visitors must be 18 years of age or older, or accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. All visitors must have a valid photo ID.
- All social visits are non-contact.
- All visitors are subject to search while in the facility.
- Visitors are not allowed to pass or attempt to pass any items to detainees.
- Visitors are not allowed to carry any items into the visitation area.

Attorney Visits
Attorneys and paralegals may visit detainees at any time day or night, but are asked to avoid mealtimes if possible.
Consular Visits
Consular officials are allowed to meet with their detained nationals at any time. Whenever possible, prior arrangements should be made with the ICE Supervisory Deportation Officer. All consular officials should bring appropriate credentials.

All mail sent to detainees must include the last four digits of their Alien number, plus the sender’s name and address. Staff does not read the mail but does screen for contraband.
A detainee may receive items necessary for travel or release from agency custody with approval of the ICE Deportation Officer. Before sending packages to detainees, contact the Omaha ICE/ERO Office at (402) 536-4861.
Detainees who are being removed from the United States are allowed to have one small piece of luggage. You must get approval from the Supervisory Deportation Officer. For security reasons, no electronic devices (cell phones, electric razors, laptop computers, radios, etc.) are allowed.
How to Call an Inmate
You can't call a detainee at Cass County Jail Services, but you are allowed to leave a message. If you need to contact a detainee, call (402) 296-9377. Your message must include the Detainee’s full name, Alien registration number, and a telephone number where you can be reached.
How to Send Money
To deposit money into a detainee’s trust account at Cass County Jail Services, send money orders or cashier’s checks to:

When a detainee receives money in the mail, it's taken to the processing area and placed into their account. The processing officer will provide a receipt for all funds received. Detainees should not have cash sent to them in the mail.
To Post a Delivery Bond
Delivery bonds are posted when a person has been taken into ICE custody and placed into removal proceedings while they are in the United States. When you post a delivery bond, you are required to show proof of identity.
Bonds for aliens detained by ICE can be posted at ICE ERO bond acceptance offices nationwide, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., local time. Acceptable forms of payment are:
- money orders
- cashier’s checks
- certified checks
Payments must be made payable to “U.S. Department of Homeland Security” or “Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”
