Visiting Hours and Rules
Visiting hours at Hall County Department of Corrections are as follows:
- Onsite visitation hours are Tuesday through Friday
- 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Internet based visitation is 7 days a week (Lobby)
- 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Onsite visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance. Internet based visitation must be scheduled 30 minutes in advance.
General Rules
All internet visitation users must submit a photo ID to get approval for the visit from the lobby officer. Visitors must be at least 18 years or old, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
All visitors must have a valid identification or a driver's license at the time of visiting. Visitors are not allowed to visit if they are currently out on bond or are on probation or parole.
All visits are non-contact and conducted via video. You are not allowed to bring items to give to a detainee. All visitors are subject to a pat-down search, an inspection of their belongings, and a metal scan search.
If you refuse to cooperate with a reasonable search, you will not be admitted. No firearms or weapons of any kind are permitted. No electronic devices (cell phones, pagers, radios, etc.) are permitted in the secure areas of the Hall County Department of Corrections.
Free public parking is available at the front of the facility.
Attorney Visits
Legal representatives of detainees are authorized to visit their clients at any time day or night, but the facility advises to avoid mealtimes if possible.
Consular Visits
Consular officials are allowed to meet with their detained nationals at any time. When possible, arrangements should be made with the ICE Supervisory Deportation Officer in advance by calling (308) 381-6594.
All consular officials should bring appropriate credentials.
Clergy Visits
Clergy are allowed to visit detainees housed at Hall County Department of Corrections at any time. Arrangements must be made in advance through the program coordinator.

When sending a detainee mail, you must include the last four digits of their alien number, plus your name and address. The staff at Hall County Department of Corrections does not read incoming detainee mail, but they do screen it for contraband.
Sending Packages
Detainees at Hall County Department of Corrections are not allowed to receive care packages. However, a detainee may receive items that are considered necessary for travel or release from agency custody with approval of the ICE Deportation Officer.

Detainees who are being removed from the United States are allowed one small piece of luggage. This can be sent after receiving approval from the Supervisory Deportation Officer. For security reasons, no electronic devices (cell phones, electric razors, laptop computers, radios, etc.) are accepted.
How to Call an Inmate
You can't call a detainee at Hall County Department of Corrections. However, if you need to leave an urgent message you can call (308) 385-5211.
The message should include the detainee's full name, their alien registration number, and a telephone number where you can be reached.
How to Send Money
You can send money to a detainee at Hall County Department of Corrections by mailing a money order or cashier's check directly to the detainee. Do not send cash.
The processing officer will put the money into the detainee's account and issue a receipt. Cashier’s checks and money orders must include the detainee’s full name and A-number.

To Post a Delivery Bond
When a detainee in ICE custody is placed into removal proceedings while they are in the United States, a delivery bond may be posted. When you post a delivery bond, you are required to show proof of identity.
Bonds for aliens detained by ICE can be posted at ICE ERO bond acceptance offices nationwide, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., local time. Acceptable forms of payment are:
- money orders
- cashier’s checks
- certified checks
Payments must be made payable to “U.S. Department of Homeland Security” or “Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”
