Visiting Hours and Rules
Visiting hours at Butler County Correctional Complex are as follows:
Detainee's Last Name begins with A - J
- Saturdays: 9:00am to 11:00am, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
- Wednesdays: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Detainee's Last Name begins with K - Z
- Sundays: 9:00am to 11:00am, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
- Thursdays: 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
General Rules
All visitors must arrive 45 minutes prior to their scheduled visiting time to ensure adequate time to process through security. Adult visitors must present a valid, photo ID to enter the Butler County Correctional Complex. Minors who are visiting must be accompanied by an adult guardian (18 years or older) at all times.
All family or other social visits are non-contact. Visitors at Butler County Correctional Complex are subject to a pat-down search of their person, an inspection of their belongings, and a metal scan search.
Anyone who refuses to cooperate with a reasonable search will not be admitted. No firearms or weapons of any kind are allowed. No electronic devices (cell phones, pagers, radios, etc.) are permitted in the secure areas of the complex. You're advised to leave these items in your vehicle. Visitor parking is located in the front lot. Turn left after you enter the parking lot.
Attorney Visits
Attorneys and paralegals may visit detainees at any time.
Consular Visits
Consular officials are allowed to meet with their detained nationals at any time, seven days a week. Whenever possible, arrangements should be made with the ICE Supervisory Deportation Officer in advance of the visit. All consular officials should bring appropriate credentials.

All mail sent to detainees must include the last four digits of their Alien number, plus the sender’s name and address. The staff at Butler County Correctional Complex does not read detainee mail, but they do screen for contraband.
Sending Packages
Detainees are not allowed to receive care packages. However, they may receive items that are necessary for travel or release from agency custody with approval of the ICE Deportation Officer. Before sending a package, contact the Supervisory Detention and Deportation Officer at:

Detainees who are being removed from the United States are allowed to have one small piece of luggage. You can send the luggage and travel items after getting approval from the Supervisory Deportation Officer. For security reasons, electronic devices (cell phones, electric razors, laptop computers, radios, etc.) are not allowed.
How to Call an Inmate
You can't call a detainee at Butler County Correctional Complex. However, if you need to contact a detainee call (513) 785-1105 and leave a message.
Your message will be given to the detainee, but it must include their full name, alien registration number, and a telephone number where you can be reached.
How to Send Money
To send money to a detainee at Butler County Correctional Complex, you can mail a check or money order directly to the facility. Do not send cash.

When a detainee receives money in the mail, it's taken to the processing area and placed into their account. The processing officer will provide a receipt for all funds received.
To Post a Delivery Bond
When a person has been taken into ICE custody and placed into removal proceedings while they are in the United States, a delivery bond may be posted. When you post a delivery bond, you are required to show proof of identity.
Bonds for aliens detained by ICE can be posted at ICE ERO bond acceptance offices nationwide, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., local time. Acceptable forms of payment are:
- money orders
- cashier’s checks
- certified checks
Payments must be made payable to “U.S. Department of Homeland Security” or “Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”
