Visiting Hours and Rules

Visiting hours at Chickasaw County Correctional Facility are 8am-11am, and 1pm-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Medium custody inmates are allowed visits every other week, and minimum-custody inmates have visiting hours every weekend. No visits occur on the fifth Saturday or Sunday of any month. 

General Visiting Rules

Visitors must remain in the designated visiting areas. Any visitor leaving the designated areas will have their visit terminated.

Tobacco and tobacco-related products are prohibited in all MDOC facilities and property.

At all times while on the grounds of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, you are subject to search of your person, vehicles, personal property, or any/all items you may have in your possession. 

Guns, knives, ammunition, alcohol, drugs, weapons, or any instrument or tool that may be used as a weapon or any other items declared by the institution to be contraband are strictly forbidden. Contraband will be confiscated and violators will be prosecuted.

Dress Code

The dress code for male visitors is:

• Shirts must be worn
• No pants pulled down below the hip line
• No tank tops, sleeveless tops or bare midriffs
• No shorts above the knee
• No cut-off shorts, jogging shorts, or biking shorts
• Shoes must be worn
• Underwear must be worn
• No jewelry except a wedding ring, religious medallion, or medical alert bracelet
• Hats, caps, and bandanas will not be permitted (religious headgear and garments are allowed)

The dress code for female visitors is:

• Shorts at knee level or below
• No hip-huggers, cut-off shorts, jogging shorts, or biking shorts
• Slits on skirts and dresses will not extend above the knee when seated
• No see-through clothing
• No tank tops, sleeveless tops, or bare midriffs
• Underwear and bra must be worn. Shoes must be worn
• No jewelry except a wedding ring, religious medallion, or a medical alert bracelet
• Hats, caps, and bandanas will not be permitted (religious headgear and garments are allowed)

Money orders

Chickasaw County Correctional Facility only accepts Postal Money orders. The money order should be filled out completely, see example below.
