Visiting Hours and Rules

Visiting hours for State Inmates are determined by their assigned dorm and the first letter of the inmate’s last name. Inmates with a last name A through L have visits between 8:30am and 11:30am. Inmates with a last name M through Z have visits from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm.

  • Dorm B-11, C-26, and C-27 have visits on the first Saturday and third Sunday of each month.
  • Dorm C-30 and C-31 have visits on the second Saturday and fourth Sunday of each month.
  • Dorm C-34 and C-35 have visitation on the third Saturday and first Sunday of each month.
  • Dorm C-11, C-38, and C-39 have visits on the fourth Saturday and second Sunday of each month.

Visiting for County Inmates with a last name A to L have visits on the first and third Saturdays of the month. Inmates with a last name M to Z have visiting on the first and third Sundays of the month.  

All female inmates have visiting hours on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.  

All county inmates have visiting hours from 3:30pm-5pm.

Inmates at Leake County Correctional Facility can have up to six visitors at one time.

General Visiting Rules

Regulations for visitation are made available to all offenders at the time of their admission into the facility.  The same information will be made available to visitors upon request, but it is the responsibility of each offender to provide his/her intended visitors with the rules and regulations concerning visitation.

Dress Code

Visitors will be dressed appropriately. No tank tops, see-through clothing, low-cut articles of clothing exposing the upper torso, miniskirts or mini-dresses, or any form of seductive garments will be allowed.

Shorts and skirts must be no more than three inches above the knee. Visitors must wear full-length shirts (long or short sleeve). Shoes designated for street wear, including tennis shoes, must be worn. House slippers, beach sandals (i.e. thongs, flip-flops), and shower shoes are not permitted. Individuals improperly or inappropriately dressed will not be allowed to visit.

Incoming and outgoing inmate mail is subject to inspection for the presence of contraband. Inmates may receive only metered, unstamped, plain white postcards no larger than 4" x 6" as mail. Writing must be in pencil or blue or black ink.
