General Visiting Rules
Visiting rules and regulations are made available to all inmates at the time of their admission into Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility. The same information will be made available to visitors upon request, but it is the responsibility of each inmate to provide his/her intended visitors with the rules and regulations concerning visitation.
At all times while on the grounds of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, a visitor is subject to search of his person, vehicle, personal property, or any/all items one may have in his possession. Guns, knives, ammunition, alcohol, drugs, weapons, or any instrument or tool that may be used as a weapon, or any other items declared by the institution to be contraband are strictly forbidden. Contraband will be confiscated and violators will be prosecuted.
No cellphones or personal belongings are allowed during your visit.
Dress Code
Visitors will be dressed appropriately. No tank tops, see-through clothing, low-cut articles of clothing exposing the upper torso, miniskirts or mini-dresses, or any form of seductive garments will be allowed.
Shorts and skirts must be no more than three inches above the knee. Visitors must wear full-length shirts (long or short sleeve). Shoes designated for street wear, including tennis shoes, must be worn. House slippers, beach sandals (i.e. thongs, flip-flops), and shower shoes are not permitted. Individuals improperly or inappropriately dressed shall not be allowed off to visit.

Inmates may send and receive mail with exceptions. Exceptions include, but are not limited to:
- Polaroid photos
- Nude or explicitly sexual photos
- Metal, glass, hard plastics, or wooden items
- Money orders, receipts of money orders or copies of money orders
- Packages
- Cassette/Video tapes/CD's
- Hardback Books
- Food items/hygiene/medical items
- Writing material, including stamps, must be purchased from Canteen
- Sexually explicit material is subject to rejection
All mail received must be received in a legal or letter envelope.
How to Call an Inmate
