Union City Community Corrections Center

The Union City Community Correctional Center is a reentry facility for male and female inmates that is located in Union City, Oklahoma. This facility can house up to 228 inmates.

UCCCC was built for then-Avalon Corp. in 1999 as a high-security juvenile facility. ODOC bought the approximately 45,270 square-foot structure in July 2006 and began housing community-security level inmates.

Visiting Hours and Rules

Visiting Days and Hours at Union City Community Correctional Center proceed according to an inmate's last name.

Saturdays
A-L, 9 a.m. — 3 p.m. 

Sundays
M-Z, 9 a.m. — 3 p.m.

Holiday Visits
State recognizes holidays between Monday and Friday.

Special Visits
Any request to visit other than your assigned times is a special visit. These visits can only be approved by the Chief of Security or Facility Head. 

Special visits include:visits from persons who have come long distances, volunteers or team members identified by staff that have partnered with DOC for reentry services when the visit will aid in the reentry process, visits to hospitalized inmates, visits in disciplinary status (attorney visits/clergy only), and visits between clergy and social service agency representatives, etc.

Visiting Application

You must submit a “Visitor Request Form” and get approved before visiting your inmate. You can find a copy of the form here. Once you have returned the Visitor Request Form to the facility, the approval process takes approximately two months.

The Oklahoma Department of Corrections conducts background checks on everyone 18 or older during the approval process. Your inmate will notify you when you have been approved.

Dress Code

The following clothing items are prohibited in the visiting room: 

  • Shorts, skorts, skirts, or dresses shorter than the top of the kneecap or tight fitting. 
  • Wrap-around skirts, dresses/skirts with split seam higher than the top of the knee cap.
  • Tube-tops, Tank-tops, Crop-tops, Halter-tops, Spaghetti-top blouses, Sleeveless/transparent or mesh tops/blouses. 
  • Leggings/biker’s pants/bodysuits. 
  • Spandex clothing, including swimsuits. 
  • Blue chambray, periwinkle, camouflage, or orange shirts. 
  • Tight fitting sweat suits. 
  • Low-cut or cut-out designs on clothing. 
  • Clothing bearing profanity, offensive wording, and pictures. 
  • Headgear (excluding religious). 
  • Clothing which exposes the midriff, extremely tight, off the shoulder, or which exposes any part of the breast.

Children 11 years and older must comply with the dress code unless they are restricted by handicap or medical reasons. Every visitor must wear clothing that is appropriate for his or her gender.

Infant care items are allowed in the visiting room. Those include, but are not limited to, baby bottles, diapers, baby food, etc.

No more than twenty dollars in quarters is allowed per visitor for the vending machines. All visitors must bring their quarters in a clear sandwich size bag.

Inmates have a spend limit of $80 per week in the canteen. There is no limit to the amount of money an inmate can have in their account.

Programs For Inmates

Most inmates at UCCCC work for city, county, or state agencies through the Prisoner Public Works Program.

Adult basic education classes are also available, or they can earn a GED and take vocational training in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical wiring.  

Union City Community Corrections Center also has a victim impact program which teaches inmates how their crime affected their victims.
