Anthony Correctional Center

The Anthony Correctional Center is a minimum-security prison for male and female inmates that is located in Neola, West Virginia. This facility is operated by the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. It was converted into a co-ed prison in 1985 in order to provide equal opportunities for both male and female adult offenders.

Currently, Anthony Correctional Center primarily houses male and female young adult offenders between the ages of 18-25. Inmates at this facility are sentenced to terms between six months and two years.

When the inmate has completed all of their program requirements, they are released to the committing court and must serve probation for up to five years. However, if the court deems the inmate to be unfit or has repeatedly broken the rules of the institution, they can be returned to the committing court to receive the original sentence.
